Prickly Lettuce Pain Reliever

Have any one made their own pain reliever from Prickly Lettuce? I have watched multiple videos and the prickly lettuce is in full growth in my back yard. I am shopping at garage sales for a small crock pot. I want to make a tincture, I understand it takes about 12 hours to cook it down.
