Welcome from Stockdale TX. Kinda grew up a hillbilly myself, only in Fla. Was raised in a place called Thomas’s swamp, the only entertainment for about 30 miles was the swamp and a fish camp. Peace

Have several kinds of Yucca around here, make's great cordage and the dry flower stalks are great for friction fire, Nice job jesse. Peace

I have had good luck using Jasper. In the Oil fields where I work the base used for the roads and rigs sites are loaded with it, throws good sparks from a steel and every once in a while I also find petrified wood, also makes good sparks Peace

Thanks guy’s, got some vacation time saved up NEED to go camping. Lived in the Ocala national forest for 20 years and had the run of 500 thousand acres of woods to play in, little different here. But where there’s a will there’s a way. Peace
