Slingshot + Dove season = dinner

Post by slawrence » Wed Nov 04, 2015 2:13 pm

Taking a little day hike last weekend I decided to supplement my noodles with a little protein. After not having luck with the squirrels I decided to go after their feathered friends since it is the season. After a few misses I was able to score two doves. One in flight(pure luck) and one on a limb (not as much luck).

I started skinning the first one before I decided to capture a picture, so I didn't take a picture of the mess.
After a little season salt and a little ash they were a bit game but had tons of flavor and a lot of juices.

If any one has cooking methods other then roasting small game I'd like to hear about them.

Nailed him in flight? Luck or no luck, still one helluva shot IMO. Good on you bro!

I fancy myself a slingshot connoisseur but I can't say I've ever hit anything moving. Great job man.
