Slingshot + Dove season = dinner

Taking a little day hike last weekend I decided to supplement my noodles with a little protein. After not having luck with the squirrels I decided to go after their feathered friends since it is the season. After a few misses I was able to score two doves. One in flight(pure luck) and one on a limb (not as much luck).

I started skinning the first one before I decided to capture a picture, so I didn't take a picture of the mess.
After a little season salt and a little ash they were a bit game but had tons of flavor and a lot of juices.

If any one has cooking methods other then roasting small game I'd like to hear about them.

I fancy myself a slingshot connoisseur but I can't say I've ever hit anything moving. Great job man.
