I was visiting with a friend earlier today and he gave me an old esbit stove and a few trioxane packets (looks like military packaging on the tabs). Anyone used this and, if so, what are your thoughts? Kinda small, but thinking I may go ahead and add it to my kit.
Thanks for any comments/suggestions.

I really like mine and it works well for what it does.

I just use mine as a base for my alcohol stove. Works both as a partial wind screen but more for a potstand. Never liked cleaning up after using the trioxane tabs.

I like mine. Goes great in my daypack or a cargo pocket. My alcohol stove can't fit into a pocket. They both work great.

Got one around here, somewhere...
Works well for what it is. Something to warm up a cup of soup or coffee.
I use my Trangia set up for all my outside stuff (and some inside, too).

I have one and used it a few times. Light weight and compact. I liked that the fuel tabs could be stored inside it.
I quit packing it when I got the little stoves that fit on the army canteen cups.

Great for warming up a drink or can of food not really good for sterilizing water. If you don’t expect to purify water they are really handy.
