An inexpensive 10 Cs of Survivability kit I put together inspired by Dave Canterbury. The idea for this kit is that each item is not my main go to item so I can put it in my truck or car or the top of my closet to grab and toss in a bag if I am going out on a day hike and know I have the essentials.

How do you like the 5x7 walmart tarp? Does it seem decent? They're cheap enough, I probably need to pick one up and make my own opinions, but just curious.

I had that tarp at one point and it was alright for an emergency but it was my only tarp at the time so it didn't last that long. The usual grommets tearing out.
Never used the SOL emergency tarp.

It’s there for emergencies I have two and if I got stuck somewhere it would work great for a day or two but they are not for long term use. I got 2 for 10 bucks years ago. I would recommend a better tarp for a ref kit, this one is a store and forget kit.YoungBlacksmith wrote:How do you like the 5x7 walmart tarp? Does it seem decent? I completely agree, but at 2 bucks for the gloves they were to cheap and effective to pass up for a store and forget kit.White Falcon wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 12:33 pm I like everything but the gloves. To stiff for me. Just my $,02
