Way to go! I love building stitch n glue boats. It takes all of the guess work out and compensates for my shortcomings in carpentry. For glass and resin check out fiberglasssupply.com. I used them for building surfboards and a few canoes. The resin research line of epoxy is easy to work with. I built a 16 foot canoe out of a single 4x8 sheet of plywood with it ( tippy as hell and 4 inches of freeboard). Google " the dug" for plans on that one if curious. Good luck.

I would like to build a canoe one day as well. Its on the medium list!
