Use what you are comfortable, confident, and practiced with!

Pretty simple. ;)

I carry a Guncrafter Inc. 1911 everyday. Either the Commander or the Govt'. Both in .45acp.

The day I picked the sisters up.

I travel a lot for work, and every since a local sheriffs deputy was shot in the head by a crackhead in broad daylight, I carry all the time. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. I carry a Ruger LC9s Pro. No safety. One in the chamber, ready to go. I have used different things from time to time. I used a Sneaky Pete holster for a while and have cycled through a couple of others. I used a belt clip for a while. Now I mostly carry it in a plain case (its not a purse, its a man bag!). It's rarely cold here or I would carry it in an inside jacket pocket. I thank God I have never had to use it and pray that I never do. I am also a member of USCCA in case I ever do have to use it. People can sue for anything anymore ti seems. I want to be able to afford to be the good guy if I have to be that guy.

I'm glad you bumped this thread TXHIllbilly. I had forgot about it.

As it turns out I just recently got my CCL and started carrying. To be honest I just never really thought about it. But this year I finally decided it was time. So I bought a Glock 19 Gen 5 early this year, threw some AmeriGlo Pro-IDOTs on it, practiced a ton and bought a MTAC Premier IWB Hybrid Holster and I've been carrying it everywhere, every since.

I'm very happy with the holster so far. Even while driving it doesn't bother me.

Update,
No longer have the Glock 19, I have replaced it with a Glock 43, which is a wonderful little pistol. I also have a ruger LCP 380 which is a great pocket gun.
