I'm just down the road !! The lampassas river is holy ground! I used to go with all the males in the family and run lines!

I've been trying to find a place up that way. I'm a bit south of you guys in Cedar Park.

I'm out in Bastrop, but all my family is from the other side of Ft Hood from ya'll in Gatesville and Mound. I grew up with frequent trips to Cowhouse and Beehouse creeks for picnicking, swimming and just being out in the woods. Not sure how accessible they are these days.

I haven't been to the Colorado Bend in about 2 years. Last time I went it was during that terrible drought we had. It was November (I think) and I could walk across the river.

You ever head out to the Lampasas River near Kempner?
I'm always down for a weekend overnighter, if you ever feel like going out let me know man.

My uncle lived in Pidcoke for a long time. We should go on an overnighter sometime.
