Hello from the Kilgore oil fields

Post by YoungBlacksmith » Fri Aug 18, 2017 8:49 am

Hello guys, I live in the oil fields outside Kilgore/Henderson, and have camped and such most of my life. Currently building a house here, so that takes most of my time, but getting the itch to head out for a weekend in the woods this fall.

Built my first log shelters when I was a teen in the woods behind the house, and lived in a cabin in the mountains of South Carolina in my 20's. I have not really practiced any "bushcraft" except land clearing for the last 10ish years, family, life, job, and house building takes a lot of time!

I've been a hobby blacksmith since I caught the bug in 2001, and I was a bit younger then, hence the name Young Blacksmith.

Hope to see yall around here and possibly the woods in the future!
Aaron
