Okay boys and girls let address this coronavirus.
I'd like to share a few links with everyone about the facts of this virus and encourage everyone to read or watch them carefully.

First link.
A quick 15 minute video of Joe Rogan's podcast with Michael Osterholm, an internationally recognized expert in infectious disease epidemiology. In the video he discusses what is to come and puts to rest some of the misinformation being spread.

Second link.
A website with a "get to the point" name. It goes over some of the best ways to prevent this virus as well as going over a few things stated in the video above.

Last link.
CDC's daily updated website of the reported cases in the US. ... in-us.html

Houston and Dallas both have reported cases.

I will update this thread as needed. Feel free to discuss any preparation you've made or are making.

Most importantly NO FEAR MONGERING.

Being a military town I expect it here soon. Hopefully a quarantine won't be necessary but I'm prepared with ammo and food.

I just got what I am calling semi-quarantined. The shop I was working at doesn't want "visitors" to minimize the chance of introducing the virus. However, in 3 weeks, I am vital to the reassembly of the component. They don't want me to leave town and potentially bring the virus back. So, I'm stuck in a hotel (thankfully in an extended stay place so I have a kitchen) for the foreseeable future. Going out of my mind and this is just day 2.
Stupid me didn't pack the tent this trip. Might have to buy another then scout a State Park for the weekend....

So far its business as usual for me. Besides the stores being empty and the restaurants only doing drive thru nothing much has changed.
I'm still working. My wife is still working. And I expect we both will be despite how bad it gets. She works at a hospital and I'm a cable guy, both are "essential jobs".
We have food, water, guns, ammo and a plan if stuff goes south so I think we're okay for now.

That sounds like a horrible paid vacation WW!

Business as usual here as well. Basic questions as you enter hospitals so far, but I am anticipating a slowdown to essential service only or bundling calls together, a few minor ones to be done with a major job. Until then, I'm knocking out all the PM's I can.

Kids are home, and we started whatever home school we could do today.

When I said we needed a new plague, I was hoping it would solve world hunger and open up some new job positions, not slam the brakes of the economy!

This certainly got interesting, quick! The resource hoarding was a bigger concern than death in mid March! Hope everyone here is taking it easy. It's a nice time to work in an "essential" industry but the people that make margaritas and fajita plates are just as important as doctors in my opinion!
