Dallas Bushcraft

Post by Martinez » Sun Dec 03, 2017 3:43 pm

Hello all. I'm looking for a place near Dallas, TX to practice bushcraft but am coming up short as most places have very stringent policies. Are there any areas that once can access within 100 miles of Dallas that would allow the practice and development of BC skills?

You can practice a lot stuff in your backyard. I practice fire making and I test gear in the winter. But if you get together with some othe DFW members, post in the forum below. I think pointman and Neck red gringo get out pretty often. Check with them and they might let you tags along. We also do regular trips throughout the year. Search around the board, there is a post somewhere that Saustin1967 has listed the regular meetup dates for the year.

The Bearded Burton and I go out toLake grapevine it is Core of Engineer land and camp and do bushcraft stuff. Also Caddo or LBJ grass lands are national Forrest so you can go anywhere and camp.
