Texas Survival School

Post by sterling08 » Mon Dec 24, 2018 4:08 pm

Has anyone done the Texas Survival School in Royse City?

I will be doing the level 1 course in a couple weeks and am really looking forward to it. I am fairly new to Bushcraft and have not done much camping since Boy Scouts in High School. Honestly I have not done much outdoorsy stuff other than Duck hunting. Looking forward to diving head first.

Good luck, take pictures, provide a detailed report at your debriefing when you return.

I have wanted to, but have not been able to make the schedule work. I want to go do it with my 14 year old.

Just got back and had a blast. Level 1 had a lot of stuff i already knew but I also learned a bit. I am looking forward to doing level 2 in the near future. I’m sure slot of people could skip level 1 and go straight to level 2 but if you do make sure you are 100% confident in your knowledge of the level 1 topics. It was money well spent and I will be back
