September - Glamping trip

Post by saustin1967 » Tue May 01, 2018 12:56 pm

This will be my Birthday weekend (hint, hint)

September 7 - 9th - Ratcliff lake
We will be in a full facility camp area, electric and showers.
Will most likely be movie night
This is the one to bring the family to, ge tthe SO's intrested.
There are hot showers and porcelain toilets
It does cost a little to stay the night, but I will have at least 2 camp sites, which can sleep 8 each., more than two vehicles per site will need to pay a fee at the front gate.

Oh yeah, I know my Saff will be up for this one. She likes the luxury accommodations.

I had some time Thursday driving from Lufkin to Palestine, so I detoured over to Ratcliff lake and drove around a bit. Very nice! Nicely developed campgrounds. The Sawmill loop road was closed at the second camp ground area, but the lake loop, RV area, and second tent area were open.

What section do you usually do? Seems like a great place to luxury camp.

Yes, even if it doesn't cool off much.
