Caddo Mounds - Neches Bluff Tornado

Post by saustin1967 » Mon Apr 15, 2019 12:29 pm

For anyone interested, and those who have camped with us in the Davy Crockett NF at Neches Bluff.
An EF3 Tornado hit that area this past Saturday, scores of people injured, three deceased.
Caddo Mounds had an event going on, and there was not an y warning.

Yeah, some roof damage at my inlaws, some trees down.
All good at my house, wife said there were some scary moments Saturday.
Power was out until 7:30 Sunday morning.

That's insane. If It hadn't been for the gathering it's very possible we would have been at Neches Bluff that weekend.

Holy cow! The picture of Hwy 21 is very telling of the damage, and the path looks like it went right over the bluff!
