Hello out there........

I spend my time between Dallas, West TX and Sonoita Arizona. I own a company and have offices in those cities.

I noticed the the vast majority of land in Texas is privately owned and there are very few National or State Forests. In AZ, there are huge State and National Forests everywhere. It's an interesting change. But, extremely frustrating to find good places far from people to Bushcraft. In Texas I can't t just do a walkabout for 2 days, find a spot by a beautiful secluded mountain lake and Bushcraft for another 4 days, ext. At least I haven't found anywhere except Big Bend. I can do a nice drive to Arkansas and explore the famed Ozarks.

Yes, unfortunately Texas is lacking in the public land department. East Texas is where the majority of it is.
