Good morning y’all!

Post by NETSEO Outdoorsman » Sun Nov 17, 2019 6:11 am

New to the forum! My name is Weston, 29 years old, and I reside about 20 miles outside of Paris just south of the Red River. I was in the Boy Scouts for about 12 years, attaining the rank of Eagle at 16 years old. Now that I have children of my own, I’m looking to relearn and hone my skills that I learned in scouting and teach it to my children since Boy Scouts as I knew it, especially in my area, no longer exists. Thanks for having me on!

Howdy and welcome from the Rocky Hollow in Georgetown,Texas. Teach those youngsters about the outdoors, teach them to hunt and fish and you will find there is nothing left for a dope dealer to teach them. That is a paraphrased quote by "Cotton" Cordell, he was right and you are too. I also saw a picture of Ringo Starr once with his chili bowl haircut, chicken foot medallion, rings on all his fingers, smoking some sort of "roll your own" and the caption said "Dad never took me bass fishing". Kinda puts Fatherhood into perspective doesn't it but I think you done got your mind right, good job.

Sup man! I earned my Arrow of Light, but never made it to eagle scout, as my parents lost interest in taking me to scout meetings after about the age of 12. I made up for it all later on though. Welcome!
