First net needle

Post by AdamsSeth » Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:31 am

I recently worked down a piece of white birch with a hatchet into 2 rough blanks for net needles, I’ve always wanted to learn to make nets so no better time than now I reckon.. the first one went good carving with a knife until I thinned it and the grain got squirrelly on me so I just left the curve in it. It gives it character I think.. anyhow.. here’s a pic or 2..
